Special Meeting

11:35 a.m. - 11:55 a.m.

Attending: Beyer, Brawders, Jaschob, Lewis, Morgan and Schornack. Staff: Olsen.

1. Call to Order Called to order at 11:35 a.m. by Vice-President Lewis.

2. Approval of Minutes

Motion (Brawders/Morgan) to approve minutes of February 23, 1999 meeting. MOTION CARRIED

3. Approval of Financials

Motion (Brawders/Morgan) to approve financials through June 30, 1999. MOTION CARRIED

4. Open Meetings/Open Records

Discussed the open meetings/open records requirements and how they pertain to the Commerce and Industry Association and the Jefferson Development Corporation. The district attorney is conducting an analysis regarding the JDC and the CIA relating to open meetings. The JDC is awaiting the district attorney’s response. The CIA is subject to open meetings and open records.

5. Treasurer Resignation

Motion (Morgan/Jaschob) to accept resignation of Dave Schornack from the position of treasurer and appoint Olsen to fill that position. MOTION CARRIED

6. Downtown Revitalization

Discussed the upcoming strategic planning session. Possible dates include September 15th, 16th and 29th.

7. Adjourn Meeting adjourned at 11:55 a.m.
