The Friday, October 25, 1996, special meeting of the City of Jefferson Common Council was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by President Wendorf. Members present: Ald. Wagner, Ald. Wendorf, Ald. Carnes, Ald. Polk, Ald. Wendt, and Ald. Oppermann. Mayor Brawders, Ald. Rogers and Ald. Beyer were absent. Also present was Administrative Assistant Sellnow.

Ald. Carnes, seconded by Ald. Polk moved to adjourn to closed session pursuant to Section 19.85(1)( c) of the Wisconsin State Statutes to discuss the hire of a new City Administrator. The motion carried unanimously.

Ald. Carnes, seconded by Ald. Oppermann moved to return to open session. The motion carried unanimously.

Ald. Wagner introduced Resolution No. 107.

BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of Jefferson that Mr. David Schornack of Fairmont, MN, is hereby appoint City Administrator for the City of Jefferson effective November 4, 1996, and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute the employment agreement attached hereto as part of this resolution.

Ald. Wagner, seconded by Ald. Carnes moved to approve Resolution No. 107, the hiring of Mr. David Schornack as City Administrator. On call of the roll, the motion carried unanimously.

Ald. Wagner, seconded by Ald. Carnes moved to adjourn. The motion carried unanimously.
