Special Meeting

Tuesday, May 4, 1999

Location: Carnegie Building

305 S. Main Street - Jefferson

11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.

Attending: Coffman, Dempsey, Fischer, Lewis, Morgan, Schornack, Thomsen and van Lieshout. Interested Parties: Wade Engelbrecht and Arnie Brawders.

1. Call to Order 11:30 a.m. by President Morgan.


2. Generac Warehouse

Discussed Ganser's counter offer. Motion (Thomsen/Dempsey) to accept Estella Ganser's counter offer of (redacted) per acre. MOTION CARRIED


Discussed the shortfall between the (redacted) the city will spend to purchase the land and the (redacted) selling price to Generac.


Wade Engelbrecht was invited to address the JDC. Discussed granting a waiver for a 30 foot setback. It was suggested we contact the other north industrial park tenants to inform them of this potential waiver.


Discussed the west side driveways and loading dock area. There was discussion about deed restrictions regarding driveways.


Discussed utility extensions to accommodate the Generac warehouse site. Schornack will present a "worst case scenario" to the common council at their meeting tonight. Discussed the idea of installing holding tanks instead of extending the sanitary sewer.


Talked with Generac about their willingness to pay more than the (redacted) purchase price in accordance with the industrial park price formula. Engelbrecht said he would get an answer as soon as possible.
