Special Meeting

7:30 a.m. - 8:05 a.m.

Attending: Coffman, Dempsey, Fischer, Guttenberg, Lewis, Ludwig, Martin, Morgan, Olsen, Schornack and Thomsen. Generac representative: Wade Engelbrecht.

1. Call to Order 7:30 a.m. by President Morgan.

2. Generac Expansion

Engelbrecht outlined the planned expansion. The project will be completed before the end of the year. Employment is expected to be about 1,000 employees. They currently have 797 employees. He also discussed their projected future needs for a 150,000 square foot warehouse.

Discussed parking requirements based on the covenants and city ordinance. Generac will meet or exceed both those requirements. There will be no more street parking after this project is completed.

Motion (Thomsen/Schornack) to grant a waiver to allow work to continue without all plans being submitted with the understanding that a building permit will not be issued until those plans are given to Olsen and Ludwig. MOTION CARRIED

Motion (Dempsey/Guttenberg) to grant a waiver to allow Generac to install temporary angle parking spaces, using taped lines (not painted), which will be removed by November 1, 1998. MOTION CARRIED

3. 1996 Addition Too Close to North Parkway

Will be addressed at a future meeting.
